Northwestern University challenges Fresenius with non-profit dialysis clinic

Northwestern University in Chicago plans to establish a non-profit dialysis clinic only two blocks from a for-profit Fresenius Medical Care dialysis clinic. Fresenius is under investigation after the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) discovered it only informed clinics owned by the company about serious health issues related to its dialysis concentrates GranuFlo and NaturaLyte.
