Nearly 60,000 Mirena complaints made since 2004

An investigative report by an Arizona news stations found that nearly 60,000 Mirena intrauterine device (IUD) complaints have been made to the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) since 2004. Among the most common Mirena IUD complaints are involuntary expulsion, abdominal pain and uterine perforation.
