Yasmin and Yaz suspected in deaths of 23 Canadian women

Popular birth control pills Yaz and Yasmin are blamed for the death of 23 Canadian women, half of whom were under the age of 26. The Canadian Broadcasting Corporation reported that the youngest death was a 14 year old girl, and many of the women passed away only weeks after starting the birth control.

Women taking Yaz and Yasmin may suffer from sexual discomfort

Doctors at the New York University Langone Medical Center have found that women on low-dose birth control pills such as Yaz and Yasmin are more likely to suffer from pelvic pain and sexual discomfort during intercourse. Women on low-dose contraceptives such as Yaz or Yasmin were twice as likely to report feeling pain during orgasm than women not taking the pills.
